Ett par kraftiga uppryckningar som efterlystes efter första heatet på några förhandstips:
Lil Catbaloo & Lloyd Cox fick till det ordentligt och visade mer av det som sågs i Futurityt. 219.5 blev scoren och finalplatsen klar. Även Matt Gaines Loony Cat såg piggare ut i andra rundan med sina 218.
De som gått bäst i första vändan såg ut att gå ut lite lugnare i andra, även om det kan vara en vådlig metod. Boyd Rices CR First Tuff fortsätter att se mycket stark ut. Fick tidsnöd på 3:e kalven annars hade hans 216 vart nån pinne till. Jag gillar denne skarpt och med Boyd's "allt eller inget" mentalitet kan det bli pannkaka eller en mycket trevlig hemfärd efter finalen. Även Wes Gaylean slog av på takten något med sin Tattoos On This Town, men 215.5 räckte ändå till delad ledning med CR First Tuff med 434.5 sammanlagda poäng.
Starkast i 2:a omgången gick Swiss Cat Pepto & Clint Allen. Duon såg nästan avhängd ut efter halvljumma 212 i första och behövde lyfta sig rejält för avansemang. Nåväl tänkte Clint och drämde till med en 221 runda i briljant stil!
Även Michael Coopers ritt på Hes Thumpin Special på 218.5 var tilltalande och gav dem en finalplats med råge. Denne guldstammade valack (Dual Rey-Highbrow Supercat e.High Brow Cat)
kunde blivit din till det facila priset av $55.000 om du haft lädret i ordning under Futurity auktionen.
